New York Minute

This is one of the best films that I have seen this year!! Not only is the acting spectacular, the story itself has more twists and turns than one of those really twisty turny roads in the mountains. That is to say, it has many twists and turns. I enjoyed this movie immensely and I would recommend it to anybody who wants to see a brilliant movie.

As I mentioned earlier, the acting was spectacular. Mary-Kate and Ashley really had me convinced that they were twin sisters trying to go their separate ways in life, while at the same time learning to love one another. They both played their parts in godlike fashion. Ashley playing the prim and proper Jane Ryan, who does extremely well in school and is attempting to get into Oxford. Mary-Kate played Roxanne Ryan, the rebellious sister. She is a drummer in a punk rock band, and skips school pretty much every day. The girls' mother has died and they are both trying to deal with this as they attempt to find themselves.

The two sisters spend one crazy mixed up day running all over Manhattan. They are running from a Chinese man who actually isn't Chinese, instead he is Andy Richter speaking in a Chinese accent because he was raised by a Chinese woman who also happens to be running a pirated media ring. Its quite simple really. Also, they are on the run from a truant officer played by Eugene Levy, who is attempting to catch Roxanne and give her detention. I don't want to give anything away but to sum it up, they have many crazy adventures and in the end learn to love each other for their differences and uniqenesses. It is really quite beautiful.

As if the movie couldn't get any better, they also throw in Darrell Hammond, and some confused elderly people who drive around in an RV. What could be greater? I know, a tiny rat-like dog. Oh wait, they have that too.

All in all, this is one of the best movies ever made! By anybody! Ever! I would recommend that you all go out and see this movie, support MK and A, and have an exceptional time doing so. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention one last thing. They run through New York for a good while, wearing nothing but towels.
